But with the right people behind the wheel (or buttons), your time in the studio can be one of the most fun experiences ever. I view the studio as a creative playground. (and i encourage you to do the same!) Being technically proficient is one thing, but knowing how to use this creatively… That’s where the magic is!’

I am Mathijs van der Wallen, a young and driven producer/audio engineer and ambassador of the sonographic arts based in Antwerp. At a young age i started developing a passion for music. I always played in bands, listened constantly to music and later on i started recording myself and my friends. Ever since, I’ve been obsessed with recording and mixing. After a couple of questionable demo’s and EP’s i enrolled at PXL Music for Audio Engineer where i was mentored by the best audio veterans from Belgium. Since day one i knew that i truly had found my passion and goal in life. Three years later i graduated with distinction. In my last year i interned at High Time Studio (Thomas Valkiers) and Studio Number Nine (Sebastian Omerson) where i learned how to truly use a studio to it’s fullest potential and recorded several up and coming bands/projects.
